Teacher Training Claims Christian Church Drives White Supremacy
One would think that a little church attendance would be a good thing for improving a student’s behavior.
Not so according to a Critical Race Theory (CRT) instructor at a teacher training in 2021. According to a widely shared slide of the presentation …
Yes, “the Christian church” [sic] is being presented as the enemy of better race relations to our teachers. Strangely (and another reason why CRT and all its future formats should be roundly criticized) Western advances in science, education, and media communications are thrown under the bus, hailing the Eastern ideal as superior to the West.
We all understand the arguments over “separation of church and state” and keeping one sect or belief system from benefiting from taxpayer dollars to the exclusion of all others. That’s all in the First Amendment, that Congress shall make no law establishing a religion, and all laws must be in harmony with that founding principle.
But consider for one moment that while Christianity is being targeted in a teacher training as racist, other religious philosophies are being given the spotlight.
Zen Buddhism-inspired "mindfulness" exercises are being promoted in teacher trainings in districts all across the U.S, and Leander ISD is no exception. And we have evidence that these practices have made their way into our local classrooms. We suppose because these practices are “Eastern” in their origins that it’s okay (shhh! Don’t tell the CRT instructor Christianity started as an Eastern faith, and that it continues to flourish in the East!).
